Hello, I'm Gleason Baylon from the Philippines. I am 18 years old. been playing guitar for over 4 years. in the past 4 years, I have enrolled in guitar school. so now i know how to play the guitar instrument, I want to share my knowledge in playing and I want to teach you how to play the guitar.

5 easy Steps for beginner

1. KNOW THE PARTS OF THE
GUITAR:

Above you can see the difference between an electric guitar (in the left) and an acoustic guitar (in the right). you can see
the label on the top is the head. next to the head is the tuning peg. the tuning peg is the adjustments of the tune of the strings. the next one is the nut it is in the middle of the head and the fretboard. The fretboard is where you put your hands so you can play the guitar. the next one is the position marker. the position marker is in the fretboard it helps the player to mark the frets so they will not get confuse while playing. the next one is the sound hole. only acoustic guitars have sound hole. it is for the acoustic guitar to sound without plugging in the amplifier. the next one is the pick guard the next one is the pickups, if acoustic guitars have sound hole, then the electric guitar have pickups, its like a tone microphone
that transfer music to the amplifier.there is 4 pickups
on this guitar, 2 pickups below,1 in the middle, and 1 in the top, it adjusts tone according to the song you are playing.
next is the Tone Volume. Controls the volume of the electric guitar that pickups transfer to the amplifier. Last
Part is the Bridge this is where you put the other end of the strings.

Familiarize yourself in this chord chart. you can see other
chord charts in the internet. use the
Google search engine
for better results.

3. KNOW HOW TO READ/USE CHORDS IN THE ABOVE DISPLAYED CHORD CHART
The boxes refers
to the fretboard where you'll place your fingers.
Key:
x = don't play string
o = play open string
* =Finger Placed

Note: If the more fingering appears for more than one string, place the finger flat on the fingerboard as a 'bar', so all the strings can sound.

ex.
Fm7=
In this chord you place your finger flat on the 1st fret.

Note: the number in the upper left of a chord refers to the fretboard.
ex.

Gm7=
in this chord you can see the number 3 in the top left of the
chord, it means that this chord starts in the third fret.

4. KNOW HOW
TO STRUM

Strumming is the
easiest thing to do.
here is some of
the beats and strums for that beat
4/4 =down,up,up,down,up,up,down
2/4 =down,down,up,up,down

5. PRACTICE
AND MORE PRACTICE

If you are interested in learning how to play guitar, you should
practice.
here is a simple
song for beginners.

Capo=A capo is a
small tool that “clamps” down all the strings on your
guitar

Take Me Home, Country Roads by John
Denver

Capo 2nd
fret

G Em
Almost heaven, West Virginia
D
Blue ridge mountains
C G
Shenandoah river
G Em
Life is old
there, older than the trees
D
Younger than the mountains
C G
Growin like a breeze

- G D
Country roads, take me home
-
Em C
To the place I belong
- G D
West Virginia, mountain momma
-
C G
Take me home, country roads

All my memories gathered round her
Miners
lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty
taste of moonshine
Teardrops in my eye

Em D
I hear her voice
- G
In the
mornin hour she calls me
- C G D
The radio reminds me of my home far
away
- Em D C
And drivin down the road I get a feelin
- D D7
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday
